SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA (03/25/2023) - In O-Kralanh in rural Siem Reap villagers worked together under the Participatory Approach to Safe Shelter Awareness (PASSA) framework led by Habitat Cambodia and were able to increase the living quality and livelihoods of many surrounding villlages. The PASSA group raised funds from villagers to construct a water gate on the river near their lands to control the flow of water allowing them to irrigate crops year round. Here, Pen Rithy, Som Seang, Ban Rong and Tok Phanny show how the water gate they built is used to control the flow of water by easily opening and closing at will.
